The Design Process
The initial design meeting is a crucial opportunity to learn about your lifestyle and design goals. This programming phase is where we review any hurdles you are faced with; space planning, durability, customization, etc. Other facets of the initial meeting include taking measurements of the spaces, collecting inspiration images, and analyzing of your personal style and interest.
Next, a design presentation is created with various layouts, sketches and collage boards to illustrate the concepts. Once we have come to an agreement and collaborated on the direction of the design vision, the selection process and initial phases of the project begin: interviewing contractors, gathering quotes and building a full story for your space. Site visits, facetime calls, emails and texts will be utilized during the project remodel to ensure the end product is of the highest quality and the design concept is realized. The project will conclude with a final bit of styling with accessories, wall décor, and other finishing touches before setting up a photographer to capture the end result.
Get to know Courtney
Courtney is an outgoing, energetic and driven professional that has an appreciation for creating spaces that are visually attractive while encouraging interaction and seamless function. She loves meeting new people and has an aptitude for helping clients create the type of space they have always dreamed of. Courtney loves art, movies, travelling, shopping, and finding the joys to be found in everyday life.
She identified her God-given strengths of organization, creativity, and style early in college and knew this would serve her well in a career of design. She received her degree in Interior Design from Baylor University and has worked in the industry ever since. While specializing in residential design, Courtney also has extensive experience in international hospitality design, multi-family, commercial, and wedding/event venue design. These different forms have allowed her to develop her skills and broaden her understanding of the complete construction process and the seamless delivery of consistently beautiful spaces.
Courtney lives in North Texas with her husband, two children, and French bulldog. She is a licensed interior designer, a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, Denton Women’s Aerial Club, and Benchmark Bible Church.
